Two thirds of the species recorded along the St. Lawrence breed in Quebec.
Seasonal status of the 399 species
|

In addition, two thirds of the St. Lawrence avifauna are migrants that pass through Quebec during migration. Most of these migratory species breed in Quebec; only 24 species, all aquatic birds, are strictly transients and only pass through Quebec to reach their breeding grounds.
